I live in Kyiv, my native and favourite city. In 2000 I graduated from Kyiv
Taras Shevchenko University where I work at present as a
researcher. In 2005 I defended a Ph.D.
thesis in analytical chemistry.
My passion is to travel around towns and villages of Ukraine in search of architecture and
nature wonders… and to roam about Lviv, of course!
Since 2005 I’ve been working for "Mizhnarodny turyzm"
("International tourism"), "Welcome to Ukraine" and some other magazines
as a journalist and photographer.
Since 2005 I’m developing my project "Wooden churches of Ukraine". In the competition realized
by the Ministry of youth and family affairs I won the President of Ukraine grant for talented youth
for my project support during 2006. The main results of this project are:
- a website "Wooden churches of Ukraine", known to be
the first website devoted to Ukrainian wooden architecture
- a guidebook "44 wooden churches of Lviv region" (Kyiv, 2007).
Now I`m going on with developing this project, including expeditions, publications of my articles and interviews,
collaboration with my colleagues from EU. Recently I became an expert of the
sponsor
project devoted to the restoration of the wooden church.
Since 2008 I`m a deputy chief of the Czech-Ukrainian project
"Tourist stamps - Ukraine".
