Olena Krushynska

I live in Kyiv, my native and favourite city. In 2000 I graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University where I work at present as a researcher. In 2005 I defended a Ph.D. thesis in analytical chemistry.

My passion is to travel around towns and villages of Ukraine in search of architecture and nature wonders… and to roam about Lviv, of course!

Since 2005 I’ve been working for "Mizhnarodny turyzm" ("International tourism"), "Welcome to Ukraine" and some other magazines as a journalist and photographer.
In 2006-2007 I’ve been realizing my project "Creation of a photocatalogue of wooden architecture monuments and a website "Wooden churches of Ukraine", supported by the President of Ukraine grant for talented youth. The main results of this project are: - a website "Wooden churches of Ukraine", known to be the first website devoted to Ukrainian wooden architecture
m - a guidebook "44 wooden churches of Lviv region" (2007).
